Curriculum

The course aims to cover the essential areas of film history, giving participants an overview of some aesthetic moments, representations and traditions for the development of cinema throughout the 20th century. The structure of the sessions emphasizes the consolidation of a wide perspective on the transformations that the film has undergone, in order to enable participants to have access to an analytical discourse on the evolution of cinematic language and its forms.

The course also offers a vocabulary of critical terms and essential aesthetics in the deconstruction of the audiovisual language, as well as the meanings and nuances it carries through expressive use of the resources inherent in any film (installation, room movements, sound, illumination etc.).

Andrei Luca

Andrei Luca is film critic and graduate of the Faculty of Film at the National University of Theater and Cinematography “I..L. Caragiale “. He has published articles and essays in magazines and online publications such as Film Menu, Glass Roof, Sub25 and Scene9. Since 2016, he has been teaching film education in programs such as High School Films, Éducation à l’Image or CinEd.

Starting with 2017, Andrei Luca is the coordinator of a cinema education project called Cineclub Queer, developed in partnership with the National Film Archive – Romanian Cinema.

Organization

The course consists of 4 sessions, that take place weekly between 19:00 – 21:00. The course is conducted in Romanian. This is a course for amateurs, for recreation and personal development. It is not a certified course and it does not train you to become a film critic.

The reservation is subject to the full payment of the course fee. The course fee can be paid on the website by card through a secured card payment system.

Course seats are limited. A minimum of 10 participants is required to organize the course.

Prices

The displayed price is final and does not include VAT. AlbAlb is a non-paying VAT company. Payments are made in RON at the amount shown in RON, regardless of the currency selected by the buyer.

Retraction

If you are no longer able to attend a course you have enrolled in, you must notify the retraction at least 10 working days before the beginning of a course to qualify for the course fee refund. If the withdrawal is made after this date, regardless of whether the course started or not, the amount of the course fee is not refunded.
